PT Pan Brothers Tbk.: Solar Panel Installation at PT Pan Brothers Tbk. & Group

Achieving Net Zero Emissions needs more than just commitments. Companies in Indonesia’s private sector are playing the key role in mobilizing the movement through real climate actions. One of them is PT Pan Brothers Tbk., who will be present at the Indonesia Net Zero Summit 2022: Industrial Decarbonization at all Cost, which will be held in Bali on November 11, 2022. The garment manufacturing company will be present to showcase the climate actions they are taking to build a low-carbon economy and a climate-resilient future.

In mid-2021, PT Pan Brothers Tbk. (PBRX) has started the “Net-Zero Emission Program”, this is a tangible support of PBRX to the Government which has declared to achieve “Net-Zero Emission” by 2060 in Indonesia. PBRX has committed to halving Green House Gas (GHG) emissions by 2030 through some project initiatives such as the installation of Solar Panels.

PT Pan Brothers Tbk. has taken concrete actions through the 1st phase of Solar Panel installation in the 3rd quarter of 2021 with a capacity of 1,853 kWp (Kilowattpeak) for our 5 factories, there are 3 factories in Boyolali (Central Java), 1 factory in Sragen and 1 factory in Cikande, from this installation we expected to reduce approximately 63 million Kg of Carbon Emission (CO2e) per 30 years or around 2.1 million Kg CO2e per year. The 2nd phase of Solar Panel installation on progress this year with a capacity of 1,221 kWp (Kilowattpeak) in another 5 factories located in Tangerang (Banten, West Java), Sragen (Central Java), Klego & Sambi (Central Java) and we expected to have the same impacts in the  1st phase and the 3rd phase of Solar Panel will be installed by the next year 2023 with the capacity of 1,500 kWp (Kilowattpeak).
